Center for Japanese Language and Culture (CJLC)
Welcome to the Center for Japanese Language and Culture at Doshisha University!
Doshisha was founded by Joseph Hardy Neesima in 1875. He founded the school to make it a place for young people from all parts of the world to seek truth, pursue knowledge, achieve independence, and nurture lifelong friendships. Doshisha highly values the presence of international students as they bring international viewpoints and diversity to the campus, thereby enriching the culture of the university. Therefore, we are eager to welcome and support international students.
The Center for Japanese Language and Culture assumes the role of supporting all prospective and current international students. The center is in charge of the following affairs related to international exchange and international students:
- Support services for international students (enrollment, student life, scholarships, etc.)
- Other educational programs for international students
- Educational affairs related to international exchange students from overseas partner institutions
- Educational affairs related to privately-financed international students
