Doshisha University was founded to foster people to be “the nation’s conscience.” Education at the university is pursued based on the ideals of “Christian principles,” “liberalism,” and “internationalism.”

Doshisha University has two campuses: the Imadegawa Campus, located in the heart of the historical city of Kyoto; and the science-oriented Kyotanabe Campus, with its many state-of-the-art facilities, located in a quiet suburban environment. It takes about one hour to go from one campus to the other, so please be careful to go to the right campus.

The Organization for Promotion of International Cooperation at Doshisha University is comprised of the Office of the International Center and the Office of International Education. At present, Doshisha University has established relationships with seventy universities in twenty-six countries through inter-university agreements.
