Prevention of Campus Harassment
Campus harassment takes many forms which include: sexual harassment (physical contact, sexual assault, obscene jokes) and academic harassment or power harassment (discriminatory or abusive behavior which students, teachers or staff suffer at the hands of teachers or those of a higher status, taking advantage of their authoritative positions). It is of the utmost importance to take great care in refraining from using any words or actions that may make another person feel uncomfortable, or worse, victimized.
Doshisha University takes the issue of harassment extremely seriously and has in place a set of rules and guidelines designed to prevent it from happening.
