The first onsite European Studies EU Campus Program was held at EU Campus from September 1, 2022 to January 25, 2023. Fifteen students from the Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Social Studies, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Policy Studies, Faculty of Health and Sports Science, and Faculty of Global and Regional Studies participated in the program.

In addition to field trips to the historic German city of Berlin and government institutions such as the European Central Bank and the Council of Europe, through lectures by Doshisha University faculty members, students were able to deepen their understanding of the history, current situation, and challenges of Germany and the EU from multiple perspectives, including culture, religion, society, politics, law, economics, the environment, human rights, gender, immigration, and refugees.

As an extracurricular activity, the Buddy Program paired Doshisha students with Tübingen students. The students participated in excursions and off-campus events with their buddies, and were able to deepen exchanges by learning each other's language and culture.

Although there were some difficulties in implementing this program for the first time face-to-face at the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to successfully complete both Spring and Fall programs over a year. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all involved at the University of Tübingen once again.

The articles "Student Voice" written by the Doshisha students during the programs are available on the EU Campus website in both Japanese and English. Please refer to the link below.
