Health Center

The Student Health Center, with premises situated on both on the Imadegawa and Kyotanabe campuses, provides support and assistance to students to help them maintain good physical and mental health throughout their time at Doshisha University.

The center provides the following services:

1. Regular medical check-ups
   The center conducts regular medical examinations in April every year to help maintain and promote good health, as well as to detect any health issues early.
2. Health control
   According to the results of the regular medical examination, the center provides advice on whether a more detailed examination is required. It also ensures students get to see medical specialists if necessary, and helps organize effective treatment for any health issues detected.
3. Health consultations
   The center conducts various consultations regarding mental and physical well-being, medicines and medical care, and offers help accordingly.
4. Mental health consultations
   The center provides psychiatric consultation regarding physical and mental issues.
5. Medical examinations
   A physician is available for help and advice each afternoon from Monday through Friday.
6. Issuance of medical examination reports
7. First aid
   The center provides first aid for minor injuries, and can also be used as a place to rest by those feeling fatigues or unwell.
8. Emergency
   If a student is on the grounds of the campus but has symptoms which prevent them from making their way to the Student Health Center, a nurse will be made available to provide an on-the-spot check.
