International Mediation Training Program

Updated Nov. 26, 2018

In commemoration of the opening of the Kyoto International Mediation Center, the Law School of Doshisha University will run an international mediation training program in Kyoto by inviting an instructor from the Straus Institute of the Pepperdine University.
This course targets practitioners involved in international dispute resolution such as attorneys and corporate legal officers. It will be an invaluable opportunity to learn in practical manners the mediation of Western style, a style different from the one prevailing in civil and family mediation in Japan. This program is certified as a mediator training program of the Kyoto International Mediation Center.

In the U.S. News and World Report which publishes the ranking of law schools in the United States, the Pepperdine University has been ranked No. 1 twelve times in the past thirteen years (including 2018) in the field of Dispute Resolution Program.

We are looking forward to receiving many applications.
