Report: “【Speak Up! Special】Let's Design New Year's Card! (KYOTANABE)” (presented by SIED)

Updated Dec. 23, 2019
On December 17th (Tue), SIED hosted “Let’s Make a New Year’s Card!” at the International Community Lounge on Kyotanabe campus. We welcomed 13 students who is from Japan, France, Korea, Taiwan, and Kuwait.
Participants made their own New Year's card using colorful pens, beautiful paper, or rubber stamps of the next year's zodiac; mouse after learning what New Year’s card is. While making the New Year's card, participants shared their country’s New Year's culture each other. Korean and Arabic students shared us New Year’s greetings in their languages.
Although even Japanese people hardly make New Year’s card by their hands in recent years, everybody were able to create original and unique New Year's cards. During the event, participants enjoyed conversation actively.
SIED organizes various events where you can experience culture of different counties. If you are interested in international exchange or intercultural understanding, please participate by all means. We look forward to seeing you all at our events!
