To all students, teachers, and staff members

Takashi Matsuoka, President
(Director, Risk Management Headquarters)

If you are planning to travel overseas (including trips to your hometown in another country), please confirm the latest information from sources such as the Overseas Travel Safety Information website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), re-examine the need for your travel, make a proper decision upon reconsideration of options including postponing or cancelling the trip, and take action accordingly.
Even if you are planning to travel to regions other than those for which the MOFA has raised the infectious disease risk level to Level 3 (advising cancellation of travel plans), please take action with top priority on safety, as the situation could change rapidly owing to factors such as the spread of infection.
If you decide to travel overseas, besides contacting the undergraduate faculty or graduate school in which you are enrolled, or the International Center, before your departure, please promptly contact them upon your return to Japan as well.
The Novel Cornavirus has been officially classified as a designated infectious disease, and will therefore be considered a Type 1 infectious disease as set forth in the School Health and Safety Act. In the event of confirmed or suspected infection with it, please immediately notify the undergraduate faculty or graduate school in which you are enrolled, the International Center, or the Health Center.
