“Support Program for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation Researchers in Doshisha University Doctoral Course” has been selected for “Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation” (SPRING), the funding program by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
The total number of selected programs is 40, including 9 programs of private universities.
In this program, under the leadership of the program officer, we will support doctoral students who wish to conduct pioneering and interdisciplinary research free from existing frameworks, or who wish to engage in overseas activities such as internship abroad, studying abroad, and international exchange programs. Several supporting programs for selected doctoral students will be carried out integrally:
The period of the program is from AY2021 until AY2025, during which we will support 30 doctoral students every academic year. The application guidelines will be announced in the middle of September. Those who wish to receive the support, please check them and apply.

Therefore, such social issues cannot be solved by knowledge of single specialization, but by an interdisciplinary approach with integrated knowledge of various fields.In this program, we promise to support doctoral students who wish to be pioneers of the next generation by conquering these social issues, originating new discipline of science, and practicing globally.
