Doshisha University Action In Response to the Lifting of State of Emergency (No. 20 Notice)

 The “Doshisha University Action in Response to the Declaration of State of Emergency (No. 19 Notice)” is abolished along with the lifting of the state of emergency on September 30, 2021, after which activities of the university shall be conducted in accordance with the “Doshisha University Guidelines for Preventing Spread of Infection of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) (5th Edition).”
 In addition, the Kyoto Prefectural Government requests the residents, commuters and visitors to continue basic infection prevention measures amidst the still ongoing infections. Regardless of whether you have been vaccinated or not, please thoroughly implement the following three basic infection prevention measures.

  1. Wearing a mask correctly
  2. Washing hands frequently
  3. Disinfecting hands and fingers with disinfectants installed outside facilities on and off campus

 Please also keep in mind to keep your distance from others and frequently ventilate indoor spaces, and observe the “Kyoto Manners” at restaurants.
 We appreciate your continued cooperation in our steady collective efforts to maintain a safe and vibrant campus life. If you feel even slightly unwell, do not hesitate to consult with a medical institution first and refrain from going out.

  • Dine at places with appropriate acrylic partitions and ventilation!
  • Wear a mask when talking!
  • Disinfect your hands before eating and when leaving a restaurant!
  • Do not speak in loud voices when in a restaurant!
  • Limit the time to 2 hours, and the group size to 4 people per table!
