同志社大学のルーツとなる同志社英学校の創立者、新島襄は、「諸君ヨ、人一人ハ大切ナリ」という言葉を遺しているが、その本質は SDGs 取組の過程で、「誰一人取り残さない（no one will be left behind）」ことを誓っていることに通じます。SDGs 達成のための研究課題を支援することにより、個々の研究を一層推進させるとともに、融合研究の創造を支援し、SDGs に取り組む「同志社」を国内外に発信することとします。
本公募の趣旨に合致する研究計画をお持ちの先生におかれましては、募集要項等をご確認の上、下記の通りご提出くださいますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。

Joseph Hardy Neesima, the founder of Doshisha Academy, the roots of Doshisha University, has said, "Each and every person is precious," the essence of which is synonymous with the SDGs pledge that "no one will be left behind" in achieving the goals. Therefore, by supporting research projects to achieve the SDGs, we aim to develop each study, promote research integration, and disseminate Doshisha University’s work on the SDGs to the world.
