Support Systems for International Students

Doshisha University has a tutor system for international students in graduate school to support their academic and research pursuits. Tutors help international students mainly to improve their Japanese language skills (including help with for acquiring technical terms and writing reports and papers). When necessary, they also provide support in specialized areas under the guidance of a research advisor.

We offer International Peer Support Program to help international students adjust smoothly to student life in Japan. Doshisha peer supporters give advice on their studies and daily life as well as being their cross-cultural exchange partner.
