What a surprise! We will be holding an event called "MIDSOMMAR" here at Doshisha University!
In Sweden, people celebrate midsummer after they get through long freezing winter in the end of June.
In this event, we will wear flower crowns called Midsommarkrans and dance with the Swedish folk song Små grodorna (Frog Dance) to experience Midsommar. We will also introduce the culture of Fika (Swedish coffee break), a comfortable way to spend time at home.
Let's celebrate the arrival of summer together!
