Kambaikan
Kambaikan is open to the local community as a center of exchange, offering various events such as movies and concerts. A French restaurant located on the top floor is enjoyed by students, faculty and staff as well as members of the local community.
Kambaikan, established in March 2004, is a seven-story building with total floor space of 18,115 square meters. The building houses a large hall for 1,000 people (Hardy Hall), a small hall (Clover Hall), and a conference room with multimedia facilities. There are PC corners, relaxation spaces and medium- and small-sized meeting rooms located around the main lounge. Student service facilities, such as the Student Support Center, the Career Center, and the Student Health Center, are also situated on the first and second floors of the building. Part of the second floor, as well as the third through fifth floors, are used by the Law School and the Business School. A café restaurant and a sky-view restaurant are located on the first and the seventh floors respectively. There is also a regular exhibition of historical remains and relics which were discovered during archaeological research conducted when the building was built. Kambaikan is loved and used by citizens as a place for relaxation, and is also enjoyed by students, teachers and staff of Doshisha University.
