Lecture at the Theological Council of the Zenkoku Doshindendokai
Aug.26,2025 Update
On August 25, I attended the Theological Council of the Zenkoku Doshindendokai at Hardy Hall in the Kambaikan Building on the Imadegawa Campus, where I delivered a 90-minute keynote speech titled “The Future of Christianity: Marking the 150th Anniversary of Doshisha.”
The Zenkoku Doshindendokai is a nationwide organization made up of churches, lay members, and teachers from Protestant churches in Japan that follow the tradition of “congregational churches,” aiming for “freedom, autonomy, and independence” within their churches.
Many people attended the event, and I had the chance to share my thoughts on Doshisha’s history, its current initiatives, and my personal views on Christian principles.
