Held the Second Collaborative Project Promotion Council Meeting under the Tripartite Partnership with Kyotanabe City and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
On Friday, January 30, the Second Collaborative Project Promotion Council Meeting, under the tripartite partnership among Doshisha University, Kyotanabe City, and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., was held at Doshisha University's Kyotanabe Campus.
Numerous representatives from Kyotanabe City and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. also attended the council meeting.
Following my opening remarks, Mayor Kamimura of Kyotanabe City delivered a keynote address titled “Co-Creating a Community Focused on Human Connections: Aiming to Realize a City Where Everyone Wants to Continue Living.”
I then gave a keynote address on “Doshisha University's Vision for Regional Collaboration.”
Additionally, reports on the achievements of initiatives in fiscal year 2025 were presented by Mr. Konishi from the Kyotanabe City Urban Transportation Division, Associate Professor Adachi from Doshisha University's Faculty of Policy Studies, Mr. Nishiuchi from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.'s Mobility & AI Research Institute, and Professor Ishikawa, a visiting professor at Doshisha University.
Finally, a panel discussion titled “Driving Co-creation: The Form of Tripartite Collaboration” was held among representatives from the three parties, during which they discussed the future direction of collaboration.
Under the tripartite partnership agreement signed in July 2024, we will continue to strengthen our collaboration.
