Attended the Kyoto University Consortium's “31st FD/SD Forum”
On March 1st, the Kyoto University Consortium hosted the “31st FD/SD Forum” at the Ryoshin-kan building on our Imadegawa Campus. I delivered remarks as the President of the Kyoto University Consortium.
The Kyoto University Consortium has held an annual FD Forum since 1995 to raise awareness among university faculty and staff about Faculty Development (FD) and to contribute to the improvement of university education. Starting in the 2024 academic year, to enhance the quality of education and university administration from a broader perspective, the forum was renamed the “FD・SD Forum” and now incorporates elements of Staff Development (SD) more extensively than before.
This year's FD・SD Forum featured the main theme “Kyoto Universities in 2040: How Will We Teach, Learn, and Work?” and attracted over 500 participants.
