On March 4th, we held the Doshisha-Daikin Collaborative Project "Next Environment" Collaborative Talent Development Program 2025 Mini Workshop at Daikin Industries, Ltd.'s Technology and Innovation Center.

Daikin Industries and our university signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement in March 2020. This workshop was conducted as one initiative within the "Next Environment" Collaborative Talent Development Program.

At the workshop, I gave a lecture on the theme "Why Liberal Arts Are Needed Now."

Following this, Professor Masanori Naito from the Graduate School of Global Studies delivered a lecture titled "Geography as Liberal Arts: Don't Be Misled by Geopolitics." An open discussion ensued, including Professor Yukiko Nishikawa, also from the Graduate School of Global Studies.

Additionally, Daikin Industries employees who had previously participated in the talent development program shared their reflections after completing the program.

Finally, we held a discussion on future initiatives.

It was a valuable opportunity to envision the future together with Daikin Industries employees.
