President's Daily Report

On October 12th, the 23rd Kyoto Student Festival took place around Heian Shrine and the Okazaki Promenade. As the President of the University Consortium Kyoto, I attended both the opening ceremony and the grand finale. Held each October, the Kyoto Student Festival is a major event that attracts over 100,000 visitors.
It is truly wonderful as a festival organized by university students studying in Kyoto, the city of students. During the opening, I participated in the parade, and at the grand finale, I joined the mass dance on stage.
It was a day when I felt the power of Kyoto, the city of students.
