President's Daily Report

On October 13, the Doshisha 150th Anniversary Symposium titled “The Future of Freedom and Diversity in the Digital Society: A Conversation with Audrey Tang” was held at Hardy Hall in the Kambaikan Building.
We welcomed Audrey Tang, Taiwan's first Minister of Digital Development and Ambassador-at-Large for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who delivered the keynote address. After the talk, a panel discussion took place with Vice President Katsunobu Kihara, Takashi Ito, Director of the Institute for the Study of Humanities and Social Sciences, Audrey Tang, and me.
Approximately 600 people attended, offering a valuable opportunity to reflect on freedom, diversity, and democracy.
