On November 29th, Doshisha University celebrated its 150th anniversary. At 9:00 AM, I attended the Founding Anniversary Prayer Service held at the Doshisha Cemetery atop Mt. Nyakuoji. Many people were present, and we offered prayers together.

Afterwards, I attended the Doshisha University 150th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony at the Divinity Hall Chapel on the Imadegawa Campus.

In the afternoon, we moved to Kyoto International Hall for the Doshisha 150th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony and Celebration Banquet. As President of the Japan Association of Private Universities and Colleges, Waseda University's President Tanaka attended, along with President Nishihara of Rikkyo University, who attended as Chairman of the Association of Christian Schools in Japan. Many other distinguished guests were also present, making the event grand.

Waseda and Rikkyo are both partner universities of the University of Tübingen. I was able to take a photo with President Pollmann of the University of Tübingen, who was also present.

Additionally, Professor Samuel Morse, Assistant to the President of Amherst College, was present. I took photos with representatives from both Tübingen and Amherst, two key partner institutions for Doshisha.

We were delighted that many faculty, staff, and alumni from across Japan participated, enabling us to celebrate Doshisha's 150th anniversary together. We aim not only to inherit what has been passed down through generations during Doshisha's 150-year history and to pass it on to the future, but also to create new stories from this point onward.
