Shimadzu Corporation × Doshisha University Joint 150th Anniversary Commemorative Symposium Held
On February 24, the “Shimadzu Corporation × Doshisha University Joint 150th Anniversary Commemorative Symposium” was held at the Ryoshin-kan building on the Imadegawa Campus.
At the symposium, Professor Kazuhiro Nagata, Director General of the JT Biohistory Research Hall, delivered a lecture titled “Surprise, Wonder, and Why?”
Shimadzu Corporation and Doshisha University signed a comprehensive educational and research collaboration agreement in December 2025. Following the symposium, a joint press conference was held.
Shimadzu Corporation Chairman Teruhisa Ueda and President & CEO Yasunori Yamamoto attended the joint press conference. We celebrated the 150th anniversary of both organizations reached in 2025 and explained future collaboration plans to the press.
