President's Daily Report

On May 21, we organized a tour of the new sports facilities at the Kyotanabe Campus, and approximately 30 faculty members joined us.
The tour included the Yamamoto Kakuma Memorial Arena, completed in March, and the training room in the basement of the Davis Memorial Hall, newly renovated in April.
The Yamamoto Kakuma Memorial Arena serves as a new sports hub alongside the Davis Memorial Hall. It is named after Yamamoto Kakuma, who, together with Jerome Davis, dedicated himself to founding Doshisha English School.
Today, we also observed the facility being used for classes.
As for the training room in the basement of the Davis Memorial Hall, we have not only expanded the training space but also updated the training equipment.
In addition to the previously offered physical training programs, the training room now features specialized trainers who can provide instruction in athletic training.
Although the weather was unfortunately rainy, it was a successful tour, as we were able to visit the facilities with faculty members who rarely have the opportunity to see our sports facilities.
