Report on the Softball Team’s Results
On June 7, members of the Doshisha University Softball Team visited to present a report on their results.
The visitors included the team supervisor, Professor Iari Okuda (Faculty of Economics); Head Coach Sugihara; Takahashi (a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Commerce); and Ueno (a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Health and Sports Science).
From late April to early May, Takahashi and Ueno helped Japan win as members of the national team at the Men’s Under-23 (U-23) Softball World Cup in Colombia. Takahashi was named the tournament’s MVP.
During their visit, I heard various stories from them, including their experiences at the tournament in Colombia, their past softball careers, and the Softball Club's current activities.
I look forward to continued success for these two students and the Softball Club.
