Joint Event Held by Four Kansai Universities
On August 26, at Midland Hall in Nagoya City, an event titled “Discover KANSAI!—Kansai, Kwansei Gakuin, Doshisha, and Ritsumeikan: Pioneering Learning, Culture, and Lifestyle in Kansai” brought together the presidents of Kansai University, Kwansei Gakuin University, Doshisha University, and Ritsumeikan University. The event primarily targeted high school students and showcased the culture, lifestyle, and appeal of studying in the Kansai region.
In Part 1, the four university presidents held a roundtable discussion titled “The Value of Studying in Kansai and Future Careers.” Part 2 featured a special talk by Ryota Yamazato of Nankai Candies and a student roundtable with students from the four universities. Following these sessions, booths were set up to provide university introductions, admissions briefings, and one-on-one consultations.
The event drew approximately 200 participants, filling the venue to capacity. I hope this day allowed attendees to experience the appeal of studying at our university and in the Kansai region.
