Participation in the Student Exchange Summer Camp with Rikkyo University
From September 8, for three days, the “Connect! Student Exchange Summer Camp”—a joint program between Doshisha University and Rikkyo University—was held at the Seisenryo Nature School in Yamanashi Prefecture, and I participated in the first day’s program.
Seisenryo is a facility operated by the KEEP Association, a public interest incorporated foundation, and has deep ties to Rikkyo University.

In the evening, we were given a tour of the memorial hall dedicated to Dr. Paul Rush, the founder of the KEEP Association, which helped deepen our understanding.
A total of 24 students from both universities participated in this summer camp. We observed the students interacting in a friendly and harmonious atmosphere as they took turns presenting information they had researched in advance about their respective universities in small groups and participated in hands-on activities together.
Rikkyo University President Nishihara also attended, and we were able to spend time with the students together. Networking among faculty and staff from both universities is also progressing.
It was unfortunate that the rain prevented us from seeing the magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, but we would like to once again express our gratitude to everyone at Rikkyo University for providing this opportunity for exchange in such a wonderful location. I hope that exchanges like this will become even more active in the future.
