On October 4, we held “Doshisha Day—A Gathering for Young Alumni” at THE THEATRE TABLE in Shibuya Hikarie, Tokyo.
This event has been held since the 2022 academic year and is aimed at young alumni aged 39 and under. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity to meet new like-minded individuals across generations and industries and to deepen connections.
This academic year, the event was held in Osaka in September, and we plan to hold it in Fukuoka in March.

Approximately 120 young alumni attended this Tokyo event.
Representatives from the Doshisha Alumni Association, our co-host, were also in attendance: Vice President Shibata from the headquarters, and President Geshiro, Vice President Aoki, and Vice President Miyazawa from the Tokyo Alumni Association.

In my opening remarks, I spoke about how the university continues to provide alumni with opportunities for connection and learning even after graduation, and shared my expectations for our young alumni, who will shoulder the future of society.

Although the event featured tables organized by industry to facilitate networking, I observed attendees actively engaging in conversations with people from other sectors as well. I myself had the opportunity to speak with many people and exchange views.
It was a valuable experience that allowed me to witness the achievements of our alumni.

I hope that many people will participate in the next event, to be held in Fukuoka.
