Overseas Universities with their Study Abroad Program Base at Doshisha
AKP Doshisha University International Students’ Center (AKP)

Since its inception in 1972, the Associated Kyoto Program (AKP) has provided various study abroad programs in Kyoto for over 1300 international students.
The AKP Center at Doshisha University runs independent programs on Japanese studies for students from 13 prominent liberal arts colleges in the US, many graduates of which go on to graduate school and thereafter play active roles in various fields. The students who participate in the programs experience Japanese culture firsthand and deepen their knowledge of the country in the process, helping the US populace to steadily broaden its understanding of Japan.
