The organizing team would like to share one request regarding dietary restrictions. In Japan, restaurants - especially those that can accommodate large groups - are still limited in their capacity to provide options such as vegan, gluten‑free, or other specialized meals. While such restaurants do exist, many are small, independently run establishments that cannot host groups of nearly 100 participants. For this reason, it is extremely challenging to arrange meals that meet highly specific dietary needs for a group of this size.
To ensure that all participants can enjoy the meals provided during the conference, we kindly ask that you describe your dietary restrictions in a flexible or moderate way whenever possible. Of course, if you have allergies or dietary restrictions due to medical reasons, please do state them clearly. However, for preferences such as “I try to avoid gluten when possible,” we recommend not listing them, as doing so allows us to offer a wider and more enjoyable range of meal options during the conference.
[Booking Accommodation]
The conference will take place across
Doshisha University’s two main campuses. To
ensure easy access to both locations, we recommend staying near Kyoto Station. For
the convenience of GA participants and the organizing team, we recommend one
primary hotel—Kyoto Tower Hotel and its annex—as the main accommodation base.
Kyoto Tower Hotel stands directly across from Kyoto Station at the base of the
iconic Kyoto Tower, and Kyoto Tower Hotel Annex is located just a three‑minute
walk away. We have secured a block of rooms at these two hotels for GA
participants. This location will also serve as the departure and arrival point
for chartered buses used to access the Kyotanabe Campus and for the Cultural
Tour scheduled on Day 4.
When making a reservation, please read the notes and booking guide carefully and follow the instructions provided to complete the booking process. Kindly note that this offer is available until the
reserved rooms for each category are fully booked.
