Arrangements for the Fall Semester Convocation Ceremony (September 21) due to an Approaching Typhoon
Sep.18,2026 Update
Due to the approaching typhoon, we will prioritize the safety of attendees when making decisions regarding the Fall 2026 Semester Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for Monday, September 21 (a national holiday). The general guidelines are as follows.
Please note that the latest information regarding whether the ceremony will be held online or canceled on the day of the event will be posted on theCommencement and Convocation Ceremony ｜Doshisha University page on the Doshisha University official website.
Response Guidelines
- If no typhoon warning, emergency warning, or evacuation advisory has been issued for the area including the ceremony venue—Kambaikan on the Muromachi Campus—as of 7:30 a.m., the Convocation ceremony will be held as usual at Kambaikan. However, if a typhoon warning or emergency warning is issued by 10:00 a.m., the ceremony will be held via online streaming.
- If a typhoon warning or emergency warning is in effect for the area including Kambaikan on the Muromachi Campus—the ceremony venue—as of 7:30 a.m., the ceremony will be held via online streaming.
- If an evacuation advisory at Alert Level 4 (evacuation order) is issued for the area including Kambaikan on the Muromachi Campus—the ceremony venue—after 7:30 a.m., the ceremony, including the online streaming, will be canceled.
