President's Daily Report

Dr. Minoru Oya, who served as Chancellor of the Board of Trustees of the Doshisha from April 2001 to March 2017, dedicating himself to the development of Doshisha, passed away on January 6, 2026.

On Sunday, February 22, a memorial service hosted by the Board of Trustees of the Doshisha was held at Fowler Chapel in Eikōkan Hall, Doshisha Women's College. As university president, I delivered the sermon. The sermon is available on the following page:

Approximately 400 people attended the service to remember Former Chancellor Oya and share their grief. We express our deepest condolences to Professor Otani, who has been called home to heaven.
