The Muromachi Campus, located between the Imadegawa and Shinmachi campuses, was built partly on the former site of the residence of the Ashikaga shogunate in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), called ‘Hana no Gosho’ (Palace of Flowers).
The relics excavated during the construction of Kambaikan provide valuable information for the study of Japan’s medieval history.
